PCVWH 9th Annual Symposium

We are honored to invite you to the 9th annual Pan-Canadian Voice for Women’s Housing symposium. The registration form will take approximately 7 minutes to complete.

Background:

The Pan-Canadian Voice for Women’s Housing (PCVWH) is an annual symposium bringing together women from across Canada to discuss policy solutions with an intersectional and inclusive lens to make women and gender-diverse focused housing a priority.

The 2018 symposium developed Six Calls to Action that were presented to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) to advise the National Housing Strategy. The six Call to Action inform the PCVWH and its journey to speak with, and for, those whose lives are historically and systemically outside those lines of privilege in Canada, including Black, First Nations, Métis, Inuit, women of color, as well as women fleeing violence, queer communities, two-spirited people, and people with disAbilities. Each year, representatives from CMHC/Infrastructure Canada and other key decision makers attend the symposium.

The 9th  PCVWH Symposium will be held in Ottawa, Ontario on September 25th and 26th  2025. A total of 50 participants will attend the symposium in person. Conference costs including flight tickets, hotels, and accommodation costs will be covered by the Symposium.

We recognize the time and effort you have invested in your application, and we want to assure you that our selection process is thorough and rigorous. We are looking for participants who demonstrate a strong passion to advocate for women’s housing and possess the skills, knowledge, and experience to contribute meaningfully to the discussions.
